Reflection
We found alot of different eletrical appliances that we do not usually seen. Most of the appliances are small but very useful and aids alot to the growth of the plant. Many of the appliances are usually hidden from sight and it wonder us that alot of appliances work together to be able to maximise the ability and the result of hydroponics farming. Problems that we had met is the availability of the electrical consumption as not much is revealed.

Heat Mat Thermostat

This thermostat is an electronic temperature control device that allows you to select and maintain optimum rooting temperatures for faster seedling or cutting growth. By maintaining ideal temperatures in the rooting area you can get better rooting and faster growth. Includes a temperature sensing probe that you insert into the growing medium for precise control.

Hydrofarm CO2 Injection Systems
The average level of CO2 in the atmosphere is about 300 ppm. If the level decreases down below 200 ppm in an enclosed area, plant growth slows to a halt. Through years of testing & research, the optimum enrichment level of CO2 for plant growth has been agreed to be about 1500 ppm. With CO2 enrichment, under good conditions, plant growth rates & flowering will increase 20-100%. CO2 can be used from seedling right through harvest. These user-friendly system will simply & automatically deliver cool, bottled CO2 to your plants for improved growth & higher yields.

High Output Fluorescent Light System
Great for house plants, seedling starts, flowers or anything you want to grow indoors. High lumen output - each bulbs has 5000 lumens! Very low heat which means these systems compete with HID lighting because you can get them so close to your plants.
Saves electricity due to energy-efficient/high-output T5 bulbs and put out double the light energy of normal fluorescent systems.

Hydroponic's source of energy : Solar energy
Staff use the mobile solar kit as a power source on the farm and at field events. The kit has been used to demonstrate the workings of solar electricity to hundreds of adults and children on field trips and at farmer’s markets, environmental fairs, and other agricultural events.
The solar demo kit consists of the following items:
• 2-55 watt BP Solar modules (110 watts total power)
• 2-12 volt 105 amp-hour batteries (210 amp-hours total storage capacity)
• 1200 watt power inverter for converting 12 volt direct current stored in the batteries to 120 volt alternating current.
• A charge controller to regulate battery voltage
• A 12 volt water pump to run directly from the solar array
• Guages to monitor battery charge and power generated by the solar array.
All components are mounted on a convenient, portable cart for easy transport to field events and around the farm.

What is hydroponic.
Hydroponic is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, without soil. It is a technique in biology research. pH adjusted, nutrient solution is delivered to the roots in a highly soluble form. This allows the plant to uptake its food with very little effort as opposed to soil where the roots must search out the nutrients and extract them. This is true even when using rich, organic soil and top of the line nutrients. The energy expended by the roots in this process is energy better spent on vegetative growth and fruit and flower production. Plants are grown in an inert growing medium(Growing medium is the material in which the roots of the plant are growing).
